About

Istanbul

I'm an editor and motion designer in Istanbul.

Most of what I make has to work fast. A trailer that sells a world before anyone reads the rules. A sixty-second product film carrying an idea that genuinely isn't simple. A montage that has to feel like a place you've been.

A year at Eccho Rights, cutting long-form into YouTube packages and building the visual system around them. Post-production at Tridea Creative before that, and camera work for agencies and a Süper Lig football academy.

These days I'm doing an MA in Cultural Studies at Sabancı University, where I also teach and assist on research. My thesis is on how Disco Elysium handles mental illness: narratology and ideology in a game that argues with you.

Before that, a year on Erasmus at TH Augsburg studying Interactive Media. That year in Germany is why Remigration and Me exists.

What I keep coming back to is the seam where editing turns into design. Motion, kinetic type, compositing. And the seam where editing turns into an argument, which is the part the research keeps feeding.

Radio, Television and Film BA, Istanbul Bilgi University. Graduated with honours.
